Residents of Fairview were treated to an unusual event this weekend as Paws & Poses, the town’s beloved cat café, hosted a record-breaking “cat yoga” session with over 50 feline participants. Yogis and their furry friends gathered for an hour-long session that included poses like “Downward Facing Cat” and “Cat Warrior.”
Organizer and café owner Liz Furrington said the event aimed to combine relaxation with a sense of community. “It’s all about finding inner peace, with a little help from our feline friends,” she explained. “We never expected this many people—or cats!”
The event drew an enthusiastic crowd, with locals lining up to participate or watch as cats stretched, lounged, and occasionally swatted at yoga mats. Attendees claimed the session was “both calming and chaotic” and are already asking for a repeat event next month.
With the unexpected success, Paws & Poses plans to expand its offerings to include monthly “Meditative Meow” sessions, promising locals plenty of purrs and zen.
